Biotechnology is a broad discipline in which biological processes, organisms, cells or cellular components are exploited to develop new technologies. New tools and products developed by biotechnologists are useful in research, agriculture, industry and the clinic.
It also helps in development of insecticides, fertilizers and quality of seeds. A candidate who specializes in this field is known as a biotechnologist. There are lots of career opportunities in this field for young aspirants both in India as well as in aboard for biotechnologist.
Eligibility :
UG: 4 years
For admission into bachelor’s degree, the candidate must have passed intermediate in science(10+2) examination with subjects biology, maths and chemistry. For IITs, It is mandatory to clears JEE - Advance.
PG: 2 years
For admission into master’s degree, the candidate must have passed bachelor's degree in (B.E/B.Tech) or any other equivalent branches of engineering.
